On 4th July, 6 of us from 4 different states of US assembled together at Denver and started a 4-day-trip to Rocky Mountains, Pikes Peak and Royal Gorge.

It is said that 300 days out of one year would be sunshine there, however, the great odd somehow didn't apply to us. Although there wasn't much preferable lights for photographing, we were still trying to get some photos taken. Since 4 of us had SLRs (3 Nikon + 1 Canon), it is pretty fun to see us holding "long guns and short cannons" while running around each other and getting a good spot to take shots.

We also had a few fun chats with the park ranger who works at where we camped. One of the lady ranger there reminded me of the female ranger character in animation movie "Open Season", and it seems to me the only difference is that there wasn't a bear following her around.
